Lockheed Martin Space is the prime contractor building NASA's Orion, the only spacecraft designed for long-duration, human-rated deep space exploration. Orion will transport astronauts to interplanetary destinations beyond low Earth orbit, such as the Moon and Mars, and return them safely back to Earth.
What does this role look like?
As an Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Hardware Engineer you will be performing & supporting design coordination, development, incremental system test, and customer acceptance test for Electronic & Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used for Lockheed Martin Space missions.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
You will support unique/custom designed circuitry, subassemblies & assemblies, as well as engineering design disclosure documentation required to produce them.
Programmatic responsibilities include assisting in requirements generation, production support, test readiness, design qualification, requirements verification, test results analysis, formal acceptance, delivery, installation and product support.
Scope of technical knowledge and expertise includes:
• Analog & digital electrical circuits
• Mixed signal processing
• Power supplies, packaging, containers, and interconnect equipment and components for use in automated test equipment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, communications skills, both oral and written, able to mentor and develop subordinates, and have a strong background in Electrical Engineering design.
A willingness for occasional travel is required.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with digital and/or analog electrical design and concepts.
• Design, integration and/or test experience for high reliability hardware.
Desired skills
• Ability to develop technical drawings depicting detail design of electrical / electronic circuits.
• Experience with digital and analog electrical design.
• Experience with DC power concepts and design.
• Experience with design of test equipment such as PXI or PXIe.
• Experience with troubleshooting at both a card and system level.
• Experience with power supplies, packaging, containers, and interconnect equipment and components for use in automated test equipment.
• Possess Can-Do attitude, and ability to identify and execute required steps to bring projects to successful closure.
• Problem solving and project planning experience.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
