The power electronics engineer will be working under lead power electronics engineer and be responsible for
- Perform key power electronics component analysis and evaluation, such as power semiconductor, magnetics, capacitors, and etc
- Perform Print Circuit Board (PCB) root cause analysis and provide recommendations
- Perform system level electrical performance evaluation and provide root cause analysis
- Characterize power semiconductor devices for power semiconductors
- Execute and perform PCBA and/or system level UL/CE agency compliance analysis and test
- Support manufacture engineer operate end of line equipment for EV charging product may require few weeks travel during the contractor period
Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in power electronics preferred, 3 year + experience preferred
- Experience designing and evaluating of high voltage PCB boards
- Experience in designing / testing of high voltage power converters preferred
- Understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes, and their characteristics
- Experience of EMI/EMC designing, testing and optimization design for power electronics products
- Skilled working in lab environment with high voltage and current
- Experience of product certification with UL/CE standards in for power electronics products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
