DIRECT HIRE: An amazing opportunity with a fast-growing veteran-owned small business. The Electrical Engineer contributes to the design and support of Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (ISR) mission systems. These systems involve ISR sensors such as EO/IR, RADAR, SIGINT, communication subsystems such as audio and air-to-ground datalink, and a network of computers that serve a variety of purposes. The Electrical Engineer is expected to be highly competent in electrical harness and disconnect/switch panel design.
Rate of pay: $85K - $100K
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design wiring harnesses and panels to route power and signals to electronics installed within cockpits, operator consoles, equipment racks, and external sensors installed on aircraft
- Create and manage revisions of 2-D wiring schematics and BOMs using SEE Electrical and Microsoft Office Suite
- Assist with implementing and following company design and manufacturing procedures
- Work with vendors and purchasing manager to locate connectors, cables, wiring, switches, etc., to provide best-value design
- Actively work with technicians during harness manufacture and system verification
- Perform Electrical Load Analyses in accordance with company procedures
- Perform component selection in accordance with industry standards and/or OEM documentation
- Perform the above tasks using, at a minimum, textual requirements, system block diagrams, and OEM equipment data
Electrical Engineer Qualifications:
- 3+ years developing electrical schematics
- Experience routing multiple classes of electrical signals including power, RF, video, audio, and communications
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience operating test equipment such as bench power supplies and a multimeters
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for short periods of time
- Must hold or be able to obtain a US passport
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of SEE Electrical or similar CAD tool
- Knowledge of aircraft and military connector standards
- Knowledge of aircraft audio systems including ICS and radios
