We have just closed a further $17M in funding (total funding of $38M), to launch the world's first full manicure machine next year, having already pre-sold over $13M in annual manicure pod subscriptions to our first launch partners. Our diverse 35-person and growing team is built around individuals with a consistently demonstrated track record of introducing successful new-to-the-world products (75+ new products launched across the team).
Position Introduction:
10Beauty is seeking an Electrical Engineerwho will serve as the sole Electrical Engineer on the team. In this role, you will lead the development and integration of all electrical digital design solutions as we elevate our products functionality and user experience. This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by contributing to the launch of a brand new technology into the world.
What you'll do:
- As the only Electrical Engineer on the team, take responsibility for the design and implementation of all electronics in the system
- Utilize your expertise in digital design with microcontrollers to create efficient and reliable control systems
- Collaborate closely with other competencies (Mechanical Engineering, SW Development, Computer Vision Development) to ensure all system requirements are met
- Select appropriate cabling, connectors, encoders, and motors to optimize system performance and reliability

What you have:
- 5+ years of experience with a proven track record in design for high volume production.
- Passion for full life-cycle commercial product development
- The desire and ability to be the sole Electrical Engineer on the team.

Founders Alexander Shashou and Justin Effron successfully sold their previous company, ALICE, to Expedia, the first operations software platform for the hotel industry. They teamed up with Chris Casey, one of the original engineers on the Roomba team who spent 13 years at iRobot building and leading consumer robotics teams. We have raised funding from Lerer Hippeau, Red Sea Ventures, and Imaginary - the investors behind great consumer companies such as Nest, Warby Parker, Casper, and Allbirds - to build 10Beauty.
