#1 Electrical Designer (Mid/Lead) - Cypress, TX
- AutoCAD 3D modeling experience a must.
- 8 to 15 years experience, not to exceed.
- Elecdes experience a plus.
- Experience on NEC and IEC codes projects.

#2 Electrical Designer III - Westchase district of Houston, TX
Job Summary: The Electrical Designer will be responsible for preparing 3D models and 2D drawings for the design of complex offshore/onshore electrical systems utilizing CAD software. This is a long term contract role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings for assigned projects from information supplied and/or verbal instructions with little or no supervision required;
- Edit drawings and incorporate changes from provided markups and/or verbal instructions;
- Review information received from design team members, question inconsistencies, apparent errors & omissions;
- Perform corrections to the following drawings: P&ID’s, Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, Panel Layouts, E&I Details, and Loop Diagrams;
- Interact with design team and clients for resolving drafting/design related issues;
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to Client, Industry and Company Standards;
- Responsible for keeping Project Leads updated on any and all concerns relating to their respective assignments;
- Design or create electric area classification plans and details;
- Size and/or select correctly sized cable fittings;
- Select cables based on specifications, uses and load;
- Route cables in cable tray systems using cable schedules;
- Calculate cable tray fill, voltage drop, conduit & fittings size, lighting requirements, design and create lighting plans;
- Create tray routing Plans, electrical equipment Plan drawings using GA's, piping plans, etc.
- Create Electrical Installation Details using engineering data sheets;
- Assist engineering with layout and design electrical rooms;
- Design grounding systems & installation details, electrical one-lines from P&ID's and equipment list;
- May design electrical schematic diagrams, electrical block diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams;
- May design and detail control panels / junction boxes;
- Assign and monitor design & drafting tasks if needed in the creation of electrical drawings.
- May check electrical drawings;
- May perform as lead or sub-lead on projects;
- May monitor progress and aid with preparation of progress reports
- May read and interpret vendor drawings;
- May integrate vendor supplied equipment into project drawings;
- Perform field work as required to obtain accurate information and create sketches for the design of the project. Duration determined by the project requirements and project management.
- Maintain project files and folders and follow company standards.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- Requires a minimum of five (5) to nine (9) years of drafting and design experience relating to Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas facilities.
- Drafting/Design certification or Associates’ level degree in drafting discipline preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Proficient with design software i.e. (AutoCAD, PDMS and Navisworks).
- Must have strong understanding of P&ID's.
- Must have strong knowledge of PLC and DCS systems
- Must have a working knowledge of OSHA, NEMA, IEC, and ANSI standards.
- Must have working knowledge of API RP 500, API RP 14F.
- Proficient with all pertinent sections of Electrical Codes NEC and IEC.
#3 Electrical Designer - located in Mont Belvieu, Morgans Point or Borger, TX. All 3 are long term contract roles.

#4 Principal Electrical Designer - Whitting, Indiana. Contract to direct hire role.
Candidates outside the Whitting, IN area will be considered but there is no relocations assistance provided.
The Principal Electrical Designer will be a critical part of the client's Site Project Team. The Site Project Team is an extension of the client's team located in Edmonton.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Site Project Team Lead to achieve the overall site project team’s objectives.
- Act as primary Electrical and Instrumentation design interface with home office and site to ensure home office support expectations are satisfied.
- Conduct field walk, field measurement and visual check supporting HO team and site-based projects. Managing the priorities with HO leads and Site Project Team Lead.
- Coordinates with HO Electrical and Instrumentation Team, defining and resolving technical problems encountered or anticipated in the field.
- Collaborate with customer personal to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
- Perform Electrical design for site-based projects. Prepare construction drawings, work packages, material requisition (MR). Review supplier documentation.
- Turn Around (TAR) and Construction support including managing/filtering Electrical and Instrumentation RFIs, answering clarifications, and expediting HO responses.
- Work on shift during Turn Around (TAR).
- Escort for the client's visitors, ensuring Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) are completed for all site visits.
- Attend Model review and Constructability review and contribute.
- Assist the field inspection within the client’s scope and technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years Electrical Design experiences in brown field oil & gas, refining projects, preferably with onsite experiences.
- Experience in Engineering & Procurement (EP) Projects and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) projects is essential.
- Working knowledge with field instrumentation is an asset.
- Familiar with industrial and regulatory codes and standards.
- Hands on experience with Electrical design software
- Electrical Engineering Degree or diploma.
