Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Electrical Controls Technicians for a project located in Orchard Park, NY . This opportunity offers all shifts and and the pay rate is $28-34/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Design, Program, and Perform Layouts Related to Electrical and PLC Controlled Equipment
Perform Necessary Calculations to Assure Electrical Safety in Equipment Designs
Test Operations of Equipment and Controls for Safety and Efficiency Using Standard Test Equipment and by Observing Functions
Order Necessary Materials and Supplies for Fabrication of Equipment
Inspect Circuits for Specified Shielding and Grounding
Program PLC Controls, HMI Systems and Databases as Required for Proper Machine Functions
Design and Develop Electrical and Electronic Drawings Following Standard Practices
Develop and Maintain Operational/Maintenance Manuals as Required for Machines Fabricated or Modified
Assist in Resolving Problems, Delays, and Difficulties
Notify Supervisor of Problems
Consider Personal and Co-Worker Safety
Provide Technical Assistance on New Equipment
Troubleshoot Equipment to Determine Root Cause of Problems and Recommend Method of Repair
Use a Computer as Necessary to Assist in Troubleshooting
Monitor Computerized Equipment
Be Trained and Participate as a Member of the Companies Fire Brigade team
Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements:
Ability to Communicate Effectively in English both Written and Orally
High School Diploma or General Education Degree
Associates Degree - Preferred
3-5 Years of Experience in Manufacturing Setting - Preferred
1-2 Years of Experience with Computer Aided Drafing CAD Systems to Fabricate Drawings
Knowledge and Understanding of Control Software Systems
