As an Electrical & Controls Engineer, you will work as a member of the engineering team that functions as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), designing and building new equipment and applications for use in customer sites around the world. Reporting to the Director you will be responsible for the overall electrical design and play an integral role in vendor sourcing and management. This is a remote working position with travel to the home office and project sites on a recurring basis. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing and/or performing calculations for electrical and control system design.
- Responsible for documenting specifications, schematics, and diagrams regarding assigned projects.
- Reviews design development for conformance with all applicable codes, utilizing engineering standards along with good engineering practices.
- Participates in vendor evaluation and sourcing decisions, with a focus on system quality.
- Collaborates daily with cross functional project teams.
- Responsible for ensuring electrical design and programming functions are properly sourced and delivered within project requirements
- Responsible for representative device selection (valves, switches, transmitters etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related
- 7+ years experience in electrical equipment design and device selection
- Experience in 2D CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical) required & 3D modeling (SolidWorks) preferred.
- Experience understanding and working within PLC programs primarily utilizing Rockwell and Siemens Software.
- Experience understanding and working within HMI applications.
- Strong technical background in electrical engineering design principles
- Requires ability to travel approximately 30% of time outside base office location
