As an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialists for our Caterpillar Technical Center facility, you will have an exciting opportunity to make a difference for Caterpillar people – employees, leaders, and the communities within which we live and work. What you will do:
- Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions and alerts line management to problems.

Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model.

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
Level Extensive Experience:
- Determines criteria for assessing vendors which may have potential environmental impact.
- Formulates health and safety plans and policies, e.g. electrical safety plan, contractor safety, PPE, etc.
- Trains employees on EHS policy compliance and measures understanding.
- Collaborates across multiple departments/divisions to facilitate EHS management..
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field (10 years of experience in lieu of a degree would be accepted)
3-5 years of job-related work experience

The location for this position is Mossville, IL
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position will require less than 10% travel.
