EHS Specialist

SRG Global is looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist to join our team in Newbern, TN!

In this role, you will utilize your environmental, health and safety knowledge to assist in building sustainable systems. Ideally, you will bring a strong environmental background, coupled with EHS manufacturing experience. This position balances Safety and Environmental with a 50% focus on safety and a 50% focus on environmental.

What You Will Do

• Ensure compliance with all issued permits, with a heavy focus on air permit requirements
• Maintain required records for all environmental media
• Conduct and review safety audits, hazard assessments and hazardous waste inspections
• Guide and participate in company safety team meetings, activities, and inspections
• Act as a liaison to all team members to help with employee issues or concerns
• Assist with managing site risks including facilitating risk assessments, job safety analyses, and PPE assessments
• Help in developing employee environmental, health and safety training programs
• Aid incident investigations, root cause analysis, and determining corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• EHS experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
• Experience leading and developing EHS initiatives and programs
• Experience working with an ISO 45001 Certified company
