The NBCUniversal Team is looking for an EHS Specialist. You will be the primary face of the EHS Department for indoor air quality, noise, chemical management and various other health and safety programs. You will be responsible for the development of the facility qualitative industrial hygiene risk assessment, perform quantitative assessments and manage consultants who perform quantitative assessments. You will respond to chemical and IAQ complaints and incidents and be the site subject matter expert on industrial hygiene issues. You will be expected to get results through influence.
What You'll Do:
- Perform incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Perform health risk assessments of selected operations.
- Manage consultants to perform health risk assessments, program development, and conduct indoor air quality (IAQ) investigations.
- Manage and maintain site chemical inventory.
- Approve chemicals for use on studio lot.
- Conduct health and safety program audits.
- Respond to incidents and complaints regarding chemicals, indoor air quality, mold, noise and radiation.
- Develop programs for technical EHS areas.
- Advise, direct and instruct personnel on correct implementation of technical EHS requirements.
- Perform health and safety inspections.
- Provide weekly and monthly metrics.
- Perform training as needed.
- Interact and provide guidance to tenants and non-employees.
- Interact with government agencies including Cal/OSHA, Department of Public Health, Department of Health Services and others.
- Participate in Safety Team meetings including developing content and presenting.
- Answer and respond to Safety Hotline concerns. Respond to emergencies during work and off hours.
- Document work in EHS information management system.
- Participate in site, corporate or industry working groups as required.
- Be available to work during first, second or third shift.
- Perform other safety and health related work as requested.

What You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, chemistry, biology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in EHS
- Understanding of the legislative structure of OSHA and Cal/OSHA
- Familiarization with IH equipment for noise, IAQ, airborne contaminants and radiation
What Would Make You Stand-out:
- Master's degree in EHS, engineering, chemistry, biology or related field
- Has worked in a professional environment
- Experience with Gensuite
- 1-5 years of experience in media, entertainment or film
