We are looking for an EHS Coordinator to help us meet production and quality goals. As a Trex EHS Coordinator, you’ll will:

  • Develop and maintain a safe workplace. Keep safety awareness high and assure that all employees are aware that safety is the company’s number one priority. Works with NV Manufacturing EHS Manager to ensure that the Nevada Site operations are compliant with all accepted safety practices.
  • Develop and promote best practice safety programs through employee training, safety team activities, managing Industry safe program audits and data, and incident investigation and tracking.  Works to improve safety performance at all times. 
  • Maintain all required safety training records and ensure compliance with all OSHA required record keeping.
  • Work to maintain good employee morale and manage employee welfare events.  Responsible for employee uniform program.
  • Meet yearly manufacturing plan objectives in the areas of safety, employee welfare, and training.
  • Support all other Fernley site activities as necessary.  Including but not limited to plant tours and recycling promotions support.

 

This role is key member of our Operations team.

Shares relevant information in a timely and effective manner.  Is available to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect.
  • Technical Knowledge: Does well in functional or technical courses; learns new industry, company, product, functional, or technical knowledge; and maintains a network of internal and external contacts.

 

 

 

EXPERIENCE

A degree from an accredited college/university plus 2 years relevant safety experience in manufacturing environment, or 8 years of EHS experience, but if you’ve worked as a Safety Coordinator or Safety Assistant, we want to hear from you!
