Position Title: EHS Assistant
Reporting into Title: EHS Manager
Business and Department: Human Resources
Position Purpose/Summary: The EHS Administrator provides administrative support in the function of EHS compliance and supports the EHS team in special projects and initiatives.

Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables

- Assist with the implementation of safety and environmental policies, regulations, and programs.
- Collect and file site inspections.
- Updates project safety documents, filing mailing and distributing safety correspondence to the workforce via site information boards.
- Track and monitor risk assessments, observations, and emergency drills
- Maintain and monitor compliance for site safety programs and training records.
- Utilize and manage the company’s electronic safety system for incident reporting and investigations.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
- Provides compilation and analysis of metrics used for reports; and various time increments.
- Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Order and maintain PPE
- Participates in safety training as assigned.
- Completes periodic reporting to site and corporate entities.
- Manage customer-specific documentation/training requirements, on-demand or for audits
- Can function as an EHS point of contact as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely and accurate incident reporting using the EHS system.
- Provides compliance information for audits and clients resulting in favorable outcomes. Pass or no findings.
- Assists team while maintaining own workload achievement.
- Shows topic development and capability growth.

Pay Range as of 02/26/2024:
The pay rate for this role is $19.00-$29.00 per hour. This is the lowest to highest range we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee's pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, shift, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities
Education:
- High School Diploma, degree helpful in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
Experience:
- Safety-related experience or internship
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards
- Knowledge of local, state and customer-required safety standards
- Strong organizational ability with solid attention to detail.
- Can work independently, setting work priorities and adjusting as necessary.
- Active team contributor in cross-functional settings.
- General manufacturing knowledge and the ability to understand manufacturing terminology and processes are very helpful.
- High standards of ethics and confidentiality to coordinate sensitive information.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment where being distracted often occurs.
- Exercises good judgment, shows initiative, is proactive, and takes ownership of issues to ensure tasks are completed to a high quality and accuracy standard.
- Self-starter with skills to research and complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Proficiency for problem-solving to arrive at desired results; judgment is important.
Technology/Software:
- Computer skills for Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Communication:
- Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Ability to interface with various levels of management, employees, and customers.
Physical Capabilities
Strength: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard, and computer use. Lift/carry up to 25 lbs minimal.
Movement: The workday is a combination of standing, walking, and sitting. Able to climb stairs.
Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid, and far-range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.
MISCELLANEOUS
Travel: between site locations, generally within a mile of the enterprise office location.
