Position Summary:The EHR Support Specialist is responsible for: support and maintenance of help desk functions to the electronic health record (EHR) systems and any supporting EHR software for the organization; supporting the EHR Support team with tasks related to training, testing, documentation, software maintenance, improvement and implementation of the EHRs. This position will focus primarily on our behavioral health (Carelogic) EHR and dental (Dentrix Electronic Dental Record) EDR initially, while providing basic support of our medical EHR (Intergy). Must be able to assess and analyze incoming requests for trends and enhancement opportunities, training opportunities, and resource expansion identification. The EHR Support Specialist must maintain the highest level of customer service standards in the help desk support functions with continuous thorough and clear communication. Will be required to work closely with IT, all levels of Administrative and Clinical staff at various sites, and EHR vendors and support in developing best practices in support of the organizational EHRs.

Our ideal candidate for the EHR Support Specialist will have their completed bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or other applicable area; or have 3 years of professional experience in IT service and support; or 2 years of professional experience in EHR support. The successful candidate will also be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite in a Windows environment and be knowledgeable in medical concepts and terminology.

Salary: Starting Pay Range $20.00 - $23.70 and preferred experience is considered. Below are the pay rates specific to our locations, based on locale differentials offered at each location:

Cortez - Starting Pay Range - $20.00 - $21.20 per hour,

Montrose - Starting Pay Range - $21.00 - $22.20 per hour,

Durango - Starting Pay Range $22.50 - $23.70 per hour.

Physical demands: Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable disease. Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications to include Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and the current EHR/EDR applications to troubleshoot user problems and provide instruction
• Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all personnel, both internal and external
• Ability to comply with confidentiality requirements of HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulations
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions
• Ability to understand and instruct on EHR/EDR functionality and EHR/EDR end-user needs
• Ability to effectively present information to individuals and small groups
• Ability to work independently and prioritized assigned responsibilities
• Ability to be drive company vehicles and remain commercially insurable with AHS commercial insurance carrier

Additional eligibility requirements:Annual Flu immunization, Annual TB screening, CPI training within 90 days of hire, BLS PRO certification required within 90 days of hire
