Conducting and assisting with Title VII and related EEO investigations
Using MS Office Suite; Zoom, MS Teams, etc., to produce and modify documents and reports, schedule meetings and interviews, attend virtual meetings
Confer with personnel at all levels including senior management during an investigation to determine the outcome of claims and recommend an appropriate course of action
Host or co-facilitate EEO related trainings using virtual platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, Google, etc.
DELIVERABLES:
1. The temporary investigator will work 8.0 hours each day during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
a. Telework is allowed 3 days each week. The temporary investigator is required to provide their own computer and reliable Internet access when teleworking/during remote work.
b. To ensure deadlines are met, daily work hours may occasionally be extended
c. If hours are extended, the work week will be adjusted
d. Hours worked per week will not exceed 40
2. Conduct and assist with conducting EEO investigations based on claims of violation of CTA's AP 1601; AP 1602, AP 1605 or related EEO claims.
3. Ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with CTA's policies, rules and procedures and regulatory agency requirements including, but not limited to, EEOC, FTA, and the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
4. Temporary Investigators may occasionally assist with conducting training based on investigation related outcomes. This will require investigators to familiarize themselves with the training material, and to have subject matter expertise on the training topic. INTENDED OUTCOME:
The work and deliverables for the temporary investigators is focused on the completion of timely investigations, determine a finding or alternate resolution, notify the complainant and their respective work location regarding findings and all EEO related assignments. Skill set info The temporary investigators will have proven investigation knowledge, skills, and ability. They will have experience working in one or more of the following related areas: EEO, Human Resources/Employee Relations or Law. The investigators will be familiar with conducting investigations related to Title VI and Title VII laws of the Civil Rights Act. They will have a sense of urgency with their work and respects deadlines. The requested temporary investigators will have a work history reflecting they are able to produce error-free work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, can communicate professionally with all levels within an organization, possesses project management skills and can receive feedback well and incorporate that feedback into a finished product.
