1. An associate degree in Early Childhood OR 48 college credits (three credits in reading, writing, math and six credits in teaching or education), OR pass the Para Pro test.
2. Obtain a level three license issued by the NM Public Education Department.
3. If the associate degree is not in Early Childhood, within the first year of employment, MUST complete 6 credit hours per semester (12 credit hours total per school year) of Early Childhood courses OR Child Development Associate (CDA) OR New Mexico Child Development Certificate (NMCDC)
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bilingual and Bi literate in English and Spanish
2. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (MS) software applications and database applications.
