About The Position:

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Cardiff by the Sea, 92007 / Hybrid (Mondays and Fridays WFH)

About You:

As an Editorial Assistant, you have a dual-minded approach to content. You’re highly creative and an excellent writer and editor, but can also be process-driven with an ability to use data to inform all decisions—you have a keen attention to detail.

You’re self-motivated and can work independently from training manuals/tutorials, as well as take the initiative to develop our content library and pitch ideas. At the same time, you are an excellent communicator, comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, and can assist on key content initiatives and projects.

You complement your ability to visualize the bigger picture with a strong analytical background—you excel at critical thinking and multitasking and love the strategic side of content development.

You will (Duties):

  • Assist the Global Content Manager with the creation of articles, infographics, and other content types on various personal finance subjects for a global audience via the Enrich product
  • Prepare multimedia content for publication via the in-house content management system—includes a process of screening article submissions from contributors for adherence to company guidelines, fact-checking, formatting articles per style guides, copy-editing for content, and sourcing and formatting photos for use
  • Provide editorial feedback to our global content and other interdepartmental initiatives
  • Conduct routine audits of our existing content library to maintain accuracy and remain current against shifting industry regulations and in collaboration with subject matter experts
  • Own various monthly maintenance tasks, such as organizing documents for expert reviewers
  • Assist with quality assurance and run performance checks of new features and content, including interactive courses
  • Participate in monthly content roadmap and content development meetings
  • Have opportunities to interface with users, clients, and other departments (e.g., Product, IT, Marketing, Client Success)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in English, Journalism, or related field of study
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google equivalents (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Familiarity with APA style
  • Team player with the ability to take constructive feedback positively
  • Bonus skills: SEO, past experience producing content for the web using content management systems
