We're looking for an SEO specialist to become our next Editor on TheTravel. If you are a dynamic and driven person who is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest travel trends, we want you to join our growing team of collaborators as a Travel Editor.

TheTravel is a rapidly growing online travel publication that is dedicated to inspiring people to explore the world. We are seeking a talented and passionate freelance travel writer to join our team as an editor and help us share unique and captivating stories about travel destinations, culture, and experiences.

Role and Responsibilities

This is an exciting, multifaceted opportunity for a highly skilled and editorially experienced professional to join the team of editors overseeing TheTravel’s content. You’ll be responsible for managing the production, commissioning, output levels, and performance of all content across the vertical while playing an integral role in its growth and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, planning, development, and delivery of editorial content for TheTravel by applying our Evergreen SOP
• Edit and publish articles daily;
• Content generation of topics;
• Manage/develop our team of writers;
• Manage/develop our team of junior editors;
• Review pitches and provide feedback when needed;
• Implement best SEO practices;
• Stay up to date on industry trends;
• Proofread and edit spelling, grammar, and syntax;
• Identify keyword opportunities weekly
• Identify content opportunities for various traffic sources (Google, Facebook, etc)
• Work with the Talent Recruitment Team

Expectations:

• Knowledge of SEO and industry best practices;
• Practical knowledge with the ability to learn quickly;
• Driven to achieve goals through hard work;
• Good communication skills;
• Meticulous attention to detail and capability of producing flawless work;
• Previous editing experience is a plus.
