Overview
We are looking for a skilled EDI Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience in creating document maps within manufacturing ERP environments.
- Candidates must be in the Chicago area and able to work onsite (hybrid or full-time).
- Candidate must have experience working in the manufacturing industry.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards and protocols, particularly within manufacturing settings.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred, as we utilize this platform extensively within our operations.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain EDI document maps, including specifications for inbound and outbound transactions, in accordance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for EDI integration and automation.
- Configure and test EDI transactions to ensure accurate data exchange between internal systems and external trading partners.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, including mapping errors, data discrepancies, and transmission failures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business analysts, and end-users.
- Stay current with EDI standards, trends, and best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in EDI implementation projects, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EDI analysis and mapping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, with specific experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
