Edenton/Chowan Office and Culinary Program Assistant
Department: COAEdenton Supervisor: Anna Boyce (Primary) & Leslie Lippincott Rm# 425 & 201 Ext. 6014 & 6017
Examples of Duties
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform general clerical work, marketing assistance, and general support to the para-professional and professional staff at COA Edenton.
- Perform general clerical activities using current Microsoft applications software, campus distribution and notification activities, and assist staff with special projects and associated task.
- Type and/or word process file labels, letters, memos, etc.
- Copy and collate materials, distribute information, assist with bulk mailings, assist in set up for activities and events if needed.
- Provide support in campus upkeep and facilities inspections and reporting.
- Assist with taking photo ID's
- Answer phone, transfer calls, take messages
- Provide general support as needed for maintenance of the greenhouse, specifically for the COA Culinary program including planting seeds, watering plants, weeding two raised garden beds as needed
- Provide program support to Culinary through making copies and other clerical duties
- Assist with setup or arrangement of classroom spaces as needed for facility usage including help with moving tables and chairs
- Perform any related duties as needed
Typical Qualifications
Qualifications
- Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade.
- Modern office procedures and methods; typing and /or basic word processing.
- Ability to meet and relate to public (personable skills).
- Excellent communication and creative skills
- Able to lift or move 25 lbs
- Follow directions
- Standing and bending, carrying and moving hoses
