Job SummaryThe Department of Economics, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) seeks an Assistant Professor of Economics to begin August 1, 2024.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach a 3-3 load of lower- and upper-division courses. In addition to teaching, applicants are expected to actively participate in scholarly activities, demonstrate a commitment to student engagement and mentorship, and participate in service to the college and community.
Applicants should show a strong interest in teaching a variety of courses in economics and business statistics. Applicants should demonstrate significant innovation in teaching and commitment to student success. GGC emphasizes a student-centered learning environment.
GGC's School of Business is AACSB accredited. In accordance with Board of Regents policy concerning GGC faculty, successful Assistant Professors in this non-tenure track appointment will be eligible to receive a three-year appointment. A Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field on or before the start date.
A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours within the field of economics
Education: A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution
Teaching Experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses in economics, business statistics, and/or quantitative analysis for business.
Research: A strong record of scholarly research with a focus on contributions to the field of economics.
Flexibility: Flexibility to teach a variety of undergraduate economics and business statistics courses based on departmental needs.
