As a Research Data Specialist II you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct complex fiscal analysis of DTSC fees using qualitative, quantitative, and data-driven statistical analysis Research California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) and DTSC's fee related laws and regulations to assess fee collections, compliance, and enforcement authority
  • Extract data from databases, templates, spreadsheets, and other data sources to conduct statistical analyses of hazardous waste data (e.g., generators, disposal, transportation) statewide
  • Provide consultation regarding the design of complex forecasting models with the extracted hazardous waste data to provide more accurate revenue trend analysis
Desirable Qualifications We Look For:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in creating various forms of visual aid
  • Experience with data collection and analysis
  • Experience with use of data management and data visualization software
