We are looking to expand our online sales team with an eager, self-motivated, and highly analytical eCommerce Account Manager who can grow his/her respective account, expand the global portfolio of Joe brands into new marketplaces, and lead a team of talented eCommerce professionals to maximize revenue.
The e-Commerce Account Manager (eCAM) is responsible for managing all aspects of the e-Commerce business for his/her assigned accounts. The right candidate will have strong experience with Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Homedepot.com, DTC eCommerce growth, among other key accounts. You must possess strong analytical skills, mathematical acumen, a positive demeanor and like to lead and motivate a team. You will have a key role in the management of your designated accounts and oversight of other accounts, implementing strategies to ensure the attainment of key financial goals and objectives for the eCommerce department as a whole.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop e-Commerce sales strategies, programs and plans for existing and potential customers, Including, but not limited to, assisting in the development of annual business plans and monitoring goals, conducting monthly reviews, preparing marketing calendars for assigned accounts, and leading action item efforts.
- Be the master of your own ship and drive it to achieve all e-Commerce financial goals for designated account(s). Will have P&L responsibility for annual web sales targets and profitability across a wide digital customer base.
- Will define, identify, and implement customer acquisition strategies.
- Must be both analytical and strategic and embrace the challenge of substantially growing online sales across your respective channel.
- Be directly involved in the day-to-day e-Commerce operations, merchandising execution, content creation, brand management, and maintenance. Ensure all SKU’s are uploaded to respective .com accounts to maximize potential earnings. Enhance user experience on .com accounts by finessing each web page with romantic copy, A+ content, most up-to-date imagery, video, upsell items, etc. Help drive the entire digital marketing strategy as it relates to customer acquisition.
- Participate in daily/weekly stand ups for eCommerce department to track progress and performance of your respective online channel and establish plan in conjunction with other eCommerce Account Managers/Account Specialists/Associates for growth and improvement
- Own all the marketplace and eCommerce accounts to which you are assigned, and oversee those accounts to which you may not be directly managing, driving all toward maximum profitability.
- Become a well-versed and diversified category/brand specialist for the Snow Joe, Sun Joe, Aqua Joe, Auto Joe and Power Joe global portfolio of brands
- Report all KPIs to COO
- Coach, train, develop and cultivate new talent for the department; conduct performance appraisals and evaluations at regular intervals
- Will have P&L responsibility for your respective account
- Evaluate market share and competition.
- Assist in web development efforts including application of new technology and content design.
- Ensure the entire web process exceeds expectations from how the brand is perceived to product availability, quality and order processing timeliness to optimize the online user experience.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in marketing, finance, product engineering, logistics and supply chain, creative, IT, and customer service to ensure the best possible customer experience is achieved.
- Provide on-going strategic insights based on industry, customer, shopper and marketplace trends to support category/brand strategy.
- Travel to industry tradeshows and client sales meetings as required
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, supply chain or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of e-Commerce experience and at least 5+ years management experience
- Demonstrated experience working with Amazon.com (1P and 3P)
- Must be able to demonstrate successful track record in e-Commerce sales growth
- Demonstrated proficiency in successfully leading a team
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem solving abilities, to assist in meeting company and team goals
- Motivated self-starter with a high energy level, a natural leader, a passion for e-Commerce, and a willingness to do what it takes to achieve goals and objectives
- Previously coached and cultivated talent in a growing department
- Strong experience with partner retail sites preferred or direct experience growing DTC eCommerce (examples: Walmart Retail Link, Amazon Vendor Central)
- Demonstrated knowledge of analytical tools -- including site analytics, email measurement, display measurement, and Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups at the minimum).
- Extremely organized and efficient, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, meeting tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of project management software (i.e Trello).
- Knowledge of the products in our industry and the competing players in the lawn and garden outdoor power tools space.
