Carter's is seeking an eCommerce Development Operations Engineer! In this role, you would need to have a team player mindset, with a solid background in software engineering and operation best practices for enterprise eCommerce websites. Our platform is powered by Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), requiring experience in monitoring eCommerce website ecosystem health, identifying and troubleshooting production issues, deploying code enhancements or bug fixes, and supporting new product implementation.
Carter's eCommerce Development Operations Engineer is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Development Operations in a remote environment.
While remote, this position is only eligible for candidates residing in the United States and operates on an EST-based schedule.
How You'll Make an Impact:
eCommerce Website DevOps - 80%
  • Provide technical support by being responsible for bug fixing, code changes, optimization, and configuration changes to Carter's Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) environments.
  • Provide operation support by leading internal and/or external technical discussions along with Carter's and third-party vendors stakeholders and working with them to triage production issues (including cross-application) to identify workarounds and/or fixes.
  • Responsible for executing daily O&M routines that ensure site reliability, security, and performance.
  • Integrate commerce cloud with 3rd party/back-end systems leveraging OCAPI/SCAPI while ensuring scalability, performance and coding guidelines.
  • Escalate unresolved incidents/issues as required, maintaining ownership through resolution.
  • Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions.
  • Maintain records, communicate issues, blockers, and risks using ServiceNow and Jira.
  • Administration responsibilities over SFCC environments and others tools.
  • Implement proofs of concept to prove any new technologies or integration scenarios and identify customizations needed to SFCC platform for meeting business requirements.
  • On-call rotation support.

Others - 20%
  • Seek out new areas which need to be updated in order to prevent vulnerabilities from putting the organization at risk.
  • Create documentation of existing or new processes.
  • Partner with development leadership on where support is needed.
  • Support PCI audits and peak load testing activities.

We'd Love to Hear From you if (Requirements Section):
  • 1-3 years of experience with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform.
  • 1-3 years of experience in enterprise eCommerce Website development and operations.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or Engineering, or 4 years of equivalent, related field experience
  • Ability to articulate complex solutions to Senior Managers and above.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and produces high-quality work under demanding circumstances.
  • Flexible to new situations and challenges.
  • Go-Getter willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Have a high level of proficiency in platforms used for Build, Testing, Continuous Integration / Delivery, and monitoring, preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology or business-related area, or equivalent work experience.
