Ecological Program Crew Member

Circuit Rider Community Services, a non-profit since 1976, is recruiting Ecological Program Crew Members to work on watershed restoration and fire fuels management projects. The Ecological Program Crew helps protect and restore the environment, remove invasive plant species, increase community wildfire resilience, and Crew Members develop hands on skills as part of a workforce development program. Work projects are diverse throughout Sonoma County and take place primarily outdoors. Work can be physically demanding; and the benefits include a positive team environment, career development support, and the gratification of helping community members and the local environment. This position is on call. Shifts are 7 AM to 3 PM. Work normally takes place Monday-Friday. Shifts are 8 hours long and subject to fluctuations in weather, funding, and project needs.
The crew is based out of our Windsor facility. Pay is $18.50/hour. This position is part-time, with variable hours, and does not include benefits, except as required by law. All necessary gear, tools and transportation to job sites included.
Experience working outdoors/gardening/landscaping/using hand and/or power tools is ideal. Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive, and hard-working attitude are important attributes, as is a love for working outdoors.
