We are currently seeking an EC Coordinator to join our Leadership Team.
Job Description: The EC Coordinator will lead and manage all EC programs for grades K-12 and serve on the Voyager Academy leadership team. The EC Coordinator will ensure that all students receive services identified in their IEP and will oversee all testing required. They will plan, organize, and implement EC service needs, schedules, and service delivery for the EC team and oversee the EC budget.
The EC Coordinator will report to the Managing Director. Duties and Responsibilities:Leads the development and implementation of all EC Programs for grades K-12Serve as the EC school leader and support school based EC teamsDevelop contracts with related service providers to meet student IEP needs Create and manage the EC department budgetFacilitate strong relationships with leadership, staff, students, and familiesOversee psychological testing and report services for children who have been identified through the IEP process or who have been referred for testingOversee consultation services for staff and parents as neededProvide behavioral intervention support for students and training and support for EC teachers as neededAttend IEP meetings as requested and serve as the LEASupervises the development of daily schedules, manages facility schedules and plans appropriate for EC instructional teamMonitors program activities for compliance with local, state, and national standards and completes all required state reporting and documentationSupervises program staff and operations to ensure that the work product meets expectations and is in accordance with "Best Practices" and offers coaching as neededEvaluates program and activities to measure progress in reaching goals and objectives set for Voyager AcademyFacilitates and manages staff development for EC personnel Acts as liaison between Voyager Academy Managing Director and building administrators, and school staff as appropriateWorks cooperatively with the Managing Director to maintain fiscal controls and demonstrates cost effective procedures in fiscal management of EC resources Communicates effectively with schools, cohorts and agencies, building administrators, lead teacher staff and community participants to identify opportunities for collaboration and to provide programs for students Attends seminars, conferences, workshops, etc. as appropriate, to enhance and maintain knowledge of trends and developments in EC and school related topics Works cooperatively with Managing Director to provide seamless practices of Voyager Academy policies and procedures with the goal to strengthen overall program operations Assist with possible grant writing and implementationPerform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director Minimum Education and Experience:Master's degree in special education, psychology, curriculum instruction or school administration with 5 to 7 years as a special education teacher or Exceptional Children Program Coordinator.
