Job description

Classic Rehab a rapidly expanding provider of pediatric therapy services. Classic is a State of New Jersey Provider of Early Intervention Services (birth to 3) for 20 years. We have a highly trained team PT, OT, ST, Special Educators and Early Childhood Development Specialists. Our Clinical Supervisors provide excellent training and mentorship.

We work to make your schedule work for you! Extra emphasis to maximize the geographic location and days of service on your caseload.

Early Intervention - Child Development Specialist (birth to 3) 5+ years experience
work extensively within all areas of Early Childhood Development - including: early childhood development, behavioral interventions in children's homes and community-based settings, collect and record data, monitor data, plans for generalization. Early intervention special education services are provided in the child's home, giving the Child Development Specialist the opportunity to directly involve parents in all aspects of their intervention.

We are looking for therapists that are passionate about helping young children achieve their maximum development. You will have the special opportunity to directly involve parents in your therapy sessions.

Early Childhood Clinicians are part of a interdisciplinary team early childhood specialists. Early intervention is based on a plan of care developed by a multidisciplinary evaluation team. Clinical documentation is completed during session time, using a state-of-the art web-based documentation system. We have a very friendly office and supervisory staff that are please to assist and support our therapists.

Early Intervention Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating schedule of session with the family
  • Providing home-based intervention – involving the child’s parents and caregivers in your therapy session
  • Follow plan of care developed by the Evaluation Team
  • Focus on the child’s behavior-related milestones including: joint attention, communication, social skills, etc.
  • Documentation of clinical session in a web-based documentation system
  • Conference with the Service Coordinator and other members of the child’s intervention team
  • We have a strong mentorship program with supervisors who have extensive experience in all areas of early childhood development
  • Minimum 3 years early childhood experience required
  • Minimum education - -Bachelors Degree in Education, Psychology, ABA or other related field required
  • Minimum 2 years home-based experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years birth to three experience
