Job Overview

Duties:

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards

- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, literacy, science, and physical education.

- Foster a love for learning by creating engaging and interactive lessons

- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and cooperation

- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate activities and events

- Monitor student behavior and address any disciplinary issues promptly and appropriately

- Stay updated on the latest teaching methods, educational research, and best practices

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of child welfare principles and practices

- Understanding of childhood development stages and milestones

- Ability to develop engaging curriculum materials that meet educational standards

- Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment

- Ability to connect with children on an individual level and adapt teaching methods accordingly

- Experience working with children 6 weeks to 5 years is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
