Grand Avenue Preschool in LaGrange Highlands is a licensed childcare center seeking a Part-Time School Age Lead Teacher!
Age group: School-age
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous education experience!
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm-6:00 pm
Compensation: $16-18/hr. based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the supervision of School Age children and meeting the daily physical, emotional and social needs of the children in their care.
- Responsible for driving children to and from school and occasionally for classroom field trips.
- Arrange Lesson Plans and curriculum on a weekly basis in coordination with the monthly theme and that meet the developmental needs of the children and that meet the expectations of SACERS (School Age Care Environmental Rating Scales).
- Responsible for establishing a professional level of communication with each family member to provide quality care for each child. On-going communication in all aspects relating to the children in their room with the parents and the Center Director is crucial for quality care.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
- Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
