We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Development professional to take on the role of Coordinator for our Early Childhood Safe Space, specifically designed for Refugee Families. In this impactful position, you will play a key role in providing a nurturing environment for children aged 1-4 and facilitating positive engagement with their parents. The person should be able to speak Spanish.
RESPONSIBILITES
Program Coordination:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Early Childhood Safe Space.
- Develop and implement a daily and monthly schedule that aligns with the needs of Refugee Families and the goals of the programme
Child-Centric Activities:
- Design and provide developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 1-4, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive space for children to explore, learn, and play.
Parent Workshops:
- Conduct workshops for parents, focusing on Early Childhood Development practices, effective parenting strategies, and creating a supportive home environment.
- Encourage parental involvement and collaboration in the Safe Space activities.
Overall Program Implementation:
- Take responsibility for the successful implementation of the Early Childhood Safe Space program.
- Collaborate with team members to evaluate and enhance the program's effectiveness continually.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in coordinating and implementing Early Childhood Development programs.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and cultural sensitivity, especially in working with Refugee Families.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and engage positively with families.
Languages:
- Fluency in Spanish is a MUST.
- Proficiency in Russian would be considered a BONUS.
