QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma
2. A minimum of five years experience in a Child Care Center or
Early Childhood classroom preferred
3. A passing score on the Praxis ParaPro Assessment, or higher
equivalent
REPORTS TO: Early Childhood Supervisor
COORDINATES WITH: Early Childhood Supervisor, Early Childhood Education Manager,
Early Childhood Program/Grant Manager, Childcare Center and
Head Start Managers, and staff, Pre-K and Early Childhood
Teachers and Paraprofessionals
JOB GOAL: To assist all Early Childhood programs in the parish to ensure
families have access and utilize high quality Early Childhood care
and education services in which the whole child is educated
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
? Assists with the coordination of professional development required for all early
childhood educators.
? Assists with completing annual, mid-year, quarterly, and monthly program reports.
? Assists with the purchasing of Early Childhood materials/supplies/equipment.
? Assists with monitoring of the utilization of the Birth to Five Standards Checklists,
instructional materials and strategies, and student progress monitoring data.
? Assists with the monitoring of the implementation of Birth to Five screening and testing.
? Assists with the coordination of Early Childhood registration and selection process and
placement.
? Assists with the coordination of the St. Martin Parish Early Childhood Network meetings.
? Assists with St. Martin Parish Early Childhood Network Newsletter.
? Assists with program guidelines for all Early Childhood programs
? Assists with in-kind tracking for the Head Start grant
? Assists with Louisiana licensing requirements for Head Start locations
? Assists with employee attendance tracking for the Head Start locations
? Assists with tracking of work orders for Head Start locations (Technology and
Maintenance)
? Assists with tracking program requirements for Dual Enrollment students for the Head
Start program
? Assists with the coordination of Policy Council meetings
? Assists with the monitoring of the components of the St. Martin Parish Early Childhood
Network.
? Assumes other related responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor and the
Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months; 8 hours
