Cow Hollow School is seeking 3 Early Childhood Educators: 1 magical and flexible teacher to work as a Support Teacher, substitute, break person - referred to lovingly as our 'Unicorn'. And 2 classroom Lead teachers to guide a wonderful group of 15 children.
Hours for Support Teacher are 9:30-5:30 and the Lead Teacher Position is 8:20-4:20. Both Monday- Friday 40 hours per week.
The 'Unicorn' Support Teacher position is perfect for someone starting in the field of Early Childhood education who wants to learn alongside AMAZING teachers and join a caring and collaborative community. This, affectionally called, the Unicorn Teacher is loved by all and integral to the joyful and efficient running of the school. 12 Early Childhood education units completed preferred.
For the Lead Teacher positions we are seeking teachers who see them selves as advocates, guides and protectors of children and childhood. We are seeking someone who want to elevate the Early Childhood profession with reliability, skill, heart, and commitment. A BA in ECE preferred or at least 18 ECE units and an AA completed.
We are looking for teachers whose approach comes directly from an absolute love and respect for children and childhood, as well as culturally sensitive, emergent, and reflective practices. Our programs for children 2-5 years old offer unique opportunities to work closely with families and educators within a collaborative co-teaching teaching model with small class sizes and low student to teacher ratio, in a beautiful natural setting . . . a fabulous place to work, learn, and play.
Educators with the following should send a resume, unofficial transcripts, writing sample, and cover letter to Darcy Campbell, School Director:
- Minimum of 12 ECE units for the Support Teacher position and and BA in ECE preferred or 18 ECE units for the Lead Teacher.
- 1 year prior experience working in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Dedication to working with children and families
- Love of learning and teaching in/with nature
- Knowledge of and experience with reflective practice, the Reggio Emilia Early Childhood movement, documentation of process, and inquiry/emergent based learning desired but not a requirement.
