ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement a developmentally appropriate Pre-K 3-4 & 5 program for young children
- Implement the Centers selected curriculum, meeting the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program
- Proficient at conducting child data and assessment abilities
- Provide weekly lesson plans and submit them to the Educational Coordinator.
- Meet regularly with teacher aide to develop weekly plans and activities
- Responsible for adequate recording and record keeping of information required to document the growth and development of children using the Teaching Strategies Gold System.
- Adhere to the IL Early Learning State Standards
- Keep abreast of current knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Education
- Adhere to legal and educational requirements to ensure students' well-being.
- Chair meetings with teachers and parents
- Provide guidance to teachers to ensure that they are performing their functions correctly
- Coach teachers, particularly those with limited experience
- Liaising with other departments to facilitate the school's overall advancement
- Representing the school to relevant stakeholders

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
- Requirements: BA in Early Childhood Education with Type-04 Illinois Certification or working towards state certification; IL Gateways Level 5 required - IL. 04 Certification (PEL)
- Experience in a teaching or assistant-teaching position with children 3-5 years old
- Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation
- Prior experience in teaching within this age group
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to mentor a diverse group of individuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A passion for Early Childhood Development
