Monarch Counseling & Development Center is currently seeking a part-time Early Child Development Lead to join our small private practice in Central East Austin. We are looking for a warm and compassionate individual with a background in Early Childhood education or childcare, along with experience working with children, teenagers, and families. The ideal candidate should also have an interest in social-emotional learning, play-based education, and movement-based activities. This would be an ideal role for a former teacher or therapist.
Position Details:
· Job Title:Early Child Development Lead

· Type: Part-Time, Hourly Position
· Pay: Based on experience and education
· Schedule: 8:30AM-1:30PM - Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Responsibilities:
· Lead small groups of children aged 3 to 6 years old at a half-day program, 3 days a week.
· Collaborate with therapists to create and implement a curriculum that fosters development in children.
· Comfortably work with neurodivergent children and those with specific learning needs.
Qualifications
· Skills: Maintain a safe environment for all children, be creative in your approach, and work effectively with a diverse range of children. Uphold ethical and moral practices.
· Education: A bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education is preferred. However, we are open to applicants with relevant experience. We encourage current or future LPCs/therapists
· Must Have: A positive attitude, a creative mindset, reliability, an interest in mental health, an open-minded approach, and prior experience working with neurodivergent children.
Preference given to candidates with any of the following:
· Counselor interns (LPCA)
· Experience in a school setting
· Reaching background
· Psychology as an area of study or experience
