Job Description
GRC is searching for an E-Commerce sales associate that is into marketing and tech savvy to help grow our online, retail sales. This Associate will be responsible for taking a lead role in increasing product awareness leading to sales growth diesel engines, components and irrigation power units.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Focus on generating E-Commerce sales through by taking and posting pictures of product on website, eBay and other selling forums
- Provide customer quotes and effectively provide and communicate product information to secure orders
- Provide top notch customer service including timely responses to customer inquiries (primarily emails and calls) generated from listings
- Identifying additional marketing opportunities to build our brand and execute plans to realize growth
- Enter sales orders in system and gather customer information as necessary to ensure product is shipped correctly and timely
- Provide necessary customer service including expediting orders and diffuse situations with customers that may be upset over delivery, product, or supply issues
- Implement strategies to liquidate product and finished goods including initiating and promoting “program specials” to drive inventory reduction initiatives
- Provide monthly sales projections based on customer communications and probability/ confidence in closing the sale
- Communicate with other departments including Engineering, Supply Chain and Production information regarding customer discussions and inquiries to assist in strategic planning of current and future needs in the market
- Participate in long term strategic sales planning including market research, competitive analysis and future sales strategy
- Assist in the annual budgetary process with updates of sales projections
- Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management practiced by all employee owners of GRC
- Work with all departments positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- BS/BA in Business Administration, Marketing or related experience in lieu of degree
- Previous customer service and sales including marketing and closing sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- High level of energy, motivation and confidence
- Computer literacy/ experience required. Must be proficient in Windows environments. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Technical aptitude to learn about products including engines, components and irrigation power units
- Negotiation experience in purchasing or sales
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through
- MUST have a positive attitude and be self-motivated
