MDY Communications has effectively sold online Audio Video and Security Products for over 18 years. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic eCommerce Operations Manager to join our team and manage our Deer Park location. We are looking for a very energetic and multi-tasking individual, who will be a great addition to our team. In this role you will have to dive into our team and learn the ins and outs of our products to provide the best possible support.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations: logistics, product listings, fulfillment, promotions, merchandising maintenance, customer service and reporting.
- Work with leadership on building and revising annual budget for all facets of the business to ensure consistent profitability
- Inventory control and purchasing
- Actively monitor all marketplaces daily and make recommendations for changes to product listings based on market trends, opportunities, promotions and competitor listings
- Gather and analyze sets of data to find key insights and identify areas of opportunity (and operational improvement) across marketing, pricing and inventory; build models to forecast impact and measure results
- Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve goals
- Focus on operational improvements
- Purchase product based on historical sales with our suppliers and distributors
- Work closely with the technology/development team on pushing projects forward and identifying bugs
- Working with the marketing team to ensure milestones are achieved
- Overseeing CX team and shipping team
- Work in partnership to ensure inventory is available and product is shipped to customer order
- Encourages a positive work environment in which management team drives results and associates feel valued
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Being passionate about e-commerce industry
- Hard working, ability to learn new skills and related tasks, dependable and punctual
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Understanding of distribution flow, integration, and automation
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills to drive strategy decisions
- Excellent written and oral communication skill
- Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategies
- Understanding of graphic design or basic web development is a plus
- Experience with paid advertising is a plus
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
- Experience with marketplace management platform such as Sellbrite, Ecomdash, SellerCloud, ChannelAdvisor, etc.. a plus
- Product knowledge and experience in the field a plus however we are open to smart, fast learners
