Job Description
Busy Multispecialty Physician Group seeks Dual CertifiedPET/CT Technologist to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care. Must have at least 3 years of experience.
This position is PRN- schedule Monday-Friday as assigned. Must have reliable transportation and work between both Sarasota and Bradenton clinics based on assignment for the day.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs ordered examinations in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician.
- Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach/facility and during the exam.
- Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
- Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents and/or radio-pharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols.
- Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems; places service calls and notifies all pertinent team members of issues.
- Assists with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers' guidelines.
Position Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required.
- Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CNMT (ARRT) (N) or NMTCB
- Must have an RT license in order to perform CT scans and ARRT certification or secondary qualification for CT.
Preferably experienced in Cardiac PET/CT and signed off by Bracco. Training is available.
