Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accordingly.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies to promote positive behaviors.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals.
- Document daily progress notes and report any concerns or incidents to supervisor.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care is a plus.
- Knowledge of resident rights and regulations governing Direct Support Professionals.
- Ability to provide patient care in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Experience in home care or similar settings is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
