Program Description: The Natrona County Court Supervised Treatment Program offers a court-supervised, alternative sentencing program to offenders who meet program requirements. The Court Supervised Treatment Program requires the offender (1) to attend regular court status hearings before the Judge; (2) provides a 12/18-month structured treatment program; (3) uses intensive supervision and case management to guide defendant progress through the program; (4) requires mandatory and frequent drug/alcohol testing; (5) use immediate sanctions and incentives to modify offender behavior in the program.

ADA: Must have hearing and visual acuity adequate to communicate and listen in a group setting. Must possess: manual dexterity, good hand/eye coordination and hearing for daily work. Frequently must be sitting with occasional standing. Frequently function in rotation and on-call positions as scheduling requires. Read, write, and speak English. Consistently follow written and oral instructions as well as complete routine tasks independently. Must have the ability to lift and transfer twenty-five (25) pounds.

Hazards: Possibility of bodily harm from: electrical shock, equipment/machinery, combative situation, and exposure to toxic chemical agents, biohazards, radiation, fire, and slippery floors.

Position Pre-requisites: Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology or other behavior-related field. Must have adequate computer skills.

The Court Supervised Treatment Program Coordinator position exists to provide professional program management for the program; must have a combination of experience and education equivalent to a Bachelor Degree in psychology, criminal justice, social work, program administration or other closely related field; must have five (5) years of experience working as a program coordinator, manager and/or supervisor in a substance abuse treatment program related environment; must be able to perform as a team player in a multidisciplinary work environment and have comfort working with the substance abuse and criminal justice population.

Role specifications: Must have the ability to maintain emotional boundaries and the capacity to allow clients and staff to make choices. Must be able to work with special populations i.e. criminal justice and substance abuse clients. Must have the ability to work with potentially unstable and volatile clients. Must have physical and emotional stamina to work irregular shifts and hours and tolerate a high degree of frustration while maintaining professionalism.

Specific Duties: Must be able to facilitate and operate in a multidisciplinary team and/or group. Must be able to create and manage a yearly budget. Must provide supervision to staff members of various disciplines. Must know grant-opportunity resources. Must have the ability to write and apply for grants. Must be able to act as a mediator between incentive/sanction options for clientele. Must be able to obtain and maintain good working relationships with other local agencies. Must manage the daily operations of the Natrona County Adult Drug Court.

Salary: Depending on experience.
