Job Overview
The driver/warehouse/on-site event support is responsible for the handling and delivery of our delicious catering food on time. This would also include reviewing orders before delivery, loading, and unloading trucks, and providing support to Relish staff on-site.
The driver/warehouse/on-site event support job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities and Duties
- Practice and knowledge of safe food handling procedures.
- Daily vehicle inspection (oil, fluids, tires, damages, etc.)
- Loads and unloads equipment and food on and off delivery vehicles.
- Checks catering order sheets while loading to ensure all equipment, food, and supplies being sent are correct.
- Making multiple deliveries and pickups on event days.
- Confirm event details (route/direction, captain/chef contact info, multi-drop order)
- Separate dirty equipment/bins to be put in proper sanit area upon returning from events.
- Leftover food from the event placed in the refrigerator upon return.
- Bagging and maintaining inventory of bagged ice.
- Sweep/mop/clean the loading dock and pack out area.
- Removing garbage from events and disposing at the warehouse.
- Work on facility projects as needed.
- Responsible for packing out all elements of events according to pull sheet requests. This includes equipment, supplies, beverages, ice, and other items for the event.
- Learning our pack-out system and color coding to organize packing and load-out.
- Checking in and reporting all missing and damaged equipment to the operations manager.
- Returning all catering equipment to the proper storeroom in an organized fashion.
- Preparing and restocking premade event kits.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Team Members must be available as needed and occasionally on short notice. Team members understand that catering is a seven-day, all-hour job schedule with no set schedule or set days off and must be available as such.
- A valid New York state driver’s license is required with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills.
- Stand for long periods; walk; frequently use hands.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds while using either hands or equipment such as a pallet jack or hand truck/cart.
