Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General:
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment following agency safety policies.
- Pass necessary training and background screens.
- Demonstrate dependability, promptness, and ability to follow directions.
- Efficiently manage time and maintain a tidy work area.
- Embrace teamwork to achieve location goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Driver:
- Adhere to production/transportation policies and employee handbook policies.
- Collaborate with the team to schedule daily truck activities.
- Operate and maintain Agency trucks, ensuring compliance with driving regulations and regular equipment inspections.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain warehouse equipment.
- Operate the textile baler to meet production standards.
- Maintain warehouse organization and safety.
- Complete required forms and report any issues to the Operations lead.
- Assist in all recycling operations as directed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Up to six months of previous experience driving equivalent equipment.
Skills:
- Ability to drive stick shift or automatic straight box truck.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending instructions in English.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Common sense problem-solving ability.
- Certification in forklift operation.
- Basic computer skills.
Certificates, Licenses, and Continuing Education:
- Valid Nebraska driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Must pass employment physical.
Physical Demands:
- Heavy lifting (50-100+ pounds) with frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying.
- Moving furniture and items of varying sizes using proper techniques and tools.
Work Environment:
- Frequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust). Refer to Operations Job Safety Analysis.
Shift and Compensation Information:
- 8:30am-5:00pm, Mon-Sun - will have 2 days off per week, will work 1 or 2 days each weekend.
- $20/hr.
