Position Overview:
The Driver Service Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our delivery services. This individual will be responsible for managing our team of drivers, overseeing vehicle maintenance, and ensuring that all deliveries meet our high standards of punctuality and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of drivers to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and training programs for drivers.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of vehicles to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor and analyze delivery routes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to delivery service, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service.
- Develop and manage budget for the driver and vehicle maintenance departments, including tracking and reducing operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to driving and delivery services.
- Utilize technology and software to optimize Delivery Operations and driver performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a logistics, transportation, or delivery service management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in logistics and route management software.
- Ability to analyze data and improve operational efficiencies.
- Commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
