The Driver is responsible for providing safe and courteous service while delivering quality products. Primarily in a tank wagon delivery fuel.
Responsibilities
- Operates truck as directed to transport between the facility and multiple destinations.
- Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and/or pick-up of fuels to ensure timely service.
- Makes deliveries of fuel and diesel in accordance with customer needs and company policies.
- Maintains contact with home terminal/dispatch center to receive delivery instructions or notices of changes in route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
- Responsible for daily inspection of vehicle (pre and post trip), ensuring proper function of all safety related features of the vehicle at all times, including refueling as needed.
- Comply with all DOT, EPA, FMCSA, and company regulations.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures.
- Follows all department standard operating procedures.
- Follows prescribed safety rules and fosters an environment where employee safety is a top priority.
- Inspect/perform minor troubleshooting and repair of employer/customer storage tanks and dispensing equipment
- Be carded and maintain card at various terminals
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Must maintain a clean presentation of the driver and vehicle
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Class B CDL with Haz-Mat and Tanker Endorsement.
- Commercial driving experience strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Available for overtime as required to meet business needs within the appropriate State/Federal regulations.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- Must meet all DOT/Federal and State Requirements for the operation of commercial motor vehicles.
