Commissary Agents (2) are responsible for loading, transporting to aircraft, and unloading all galleys to the clients' specifications for all scheduled flights. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints to meet arrival and departure goals. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee. "Lead by Example" concept is strongly promoted.
Commissary Agents (2) must report to work on a regular and timely basis and will report directly to the supervisor and/or manager on duty.
Job Duties
- Understand and promote the company core values
- Loads galleys from the warehouse onto the truck
- Drive truck to the aircraft
- Unload galleys off the truck
- Actively participates in the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Complete inventories according to airline requirements
- Interacts with the airline representatives at the aircraft in a professional manner
- Communicates as required to supervisors and dispatchers as required by BM
- Understand and comply with Canada Border Services Agency Memorandum D7-1-1 & D4-1-4
- Understand and comply with Transport Canada requirements
- Comply with Sky Cafe food policies and procedures
- Actively participate in Sky Cafe's Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations.
- Understand, comply with, and promote the company Safety Policy
- Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the warehouse and vehicles at all times
- Perform truck inspections as required
- Responsible for courteous, prompt, accurate, and careful handling of food and goods, including loading and unloading
- Receive, perform temperature testing and inspection of catering deliveries from our food service provider
- Comply with all Sky Cafe and airline policies
- Constantly communicate with other catering personnel, and respective airline communication centers if applicable
- Coordination and oversight of aircraft turnaround activities
- Ensure that processes are delivered within SLA standards and compliance limits while adhering to safety requirements
- Clean trucks, work area, carts and dishes as required
- May be required to pick up equipment from a different company or facility
- Performs other duties as required
Work Environment
- Exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise
- Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis
- Regular standing, bending and lifting during shift
- Must be able to work at heights up to 25 feet or more depending upon the type of aircraft
- Able to perform the majority of job duties outside in all weather conditions
- This is a physically demanding position
