Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan and bag items for customers
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer questions and provide information about products or services
- Assist with food handling and preparation as needed
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Upsell and promote special offers or products to customers
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of basic math for calculating totals, change, and discounts
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Sales skills to promote products or special offers
