Drilling Warehouse Technician - Kuparuk Support Services - Warehouse

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Drilling Warehouse Technician responsibilities will include receipting, inspection, stocking, staging, packaging, crating, inventory issue, shipping, and delivery functions within the Kuparuk warehousing system. Strong attention to detail and dedication to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of these tasks will be essential in supporting the drilling operations.

 

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      Must be willing and able to follow safe work ethics, practices, and behaviors. 

      Must understand the prioritization of safety, quality, and production, and be willing to work accordingly.

      Candidate must be able to follow instruction from warehouse leads and foreman.

      The position requires an excellent grasp of their immediate job function, as well as the ability to cross-train in other areas. 

      Candidate may be required to function as the sole operator of a satellite warehouse, as well as operate light and medium weight trucks and forklifts to move material, pick up and transport materials in the field, and move materials by hand onto shelves, pallets, etc.

      Must have the administrative skills to develop and process large amounts of warehousing documentation.

      Candidate must be able to perform, when necessary, all warehouse operator duties.

      Unloading of vans with a sit down electric forklift.

      Other duties may be assigned.

      Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

      Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

 

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

      A Valid Driver's License is required.

      A High School Diploma or GED is required.

      The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 2x2 rotation is required.

      A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.

      Proficient experience with SAP, Excel, Word, and Outlook are required. preferred

      Prior experience operating a forklift is required.

      A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Warehouse Technician with a strong knowledge of standard warehousing principles and practices is required.

      Strong familiarity with oilfield production equipment and its maintenance and standard parts is required.

 

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      Three (3) - five (5) years' experience working in a construction or industrial setting, in the Oil and Gas industry, Petrochemical industry, on the North Slope, or in an Arctic environment is preferred.

      Inventory/Issue counter, Shipping/Receiving, Hazardous Materials Storage, Surplus, and Drilling is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:                                                              

      Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

      Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.

      Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.

      Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam 

      Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.

      Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
