National Partitions is looking for a new team member to add to our drafting/engineering department for our operations team. We are searching for an experienced AutoCAD tech with a working knowledge of Autocad 2D/SolidWorks and a keen understanding of drafting standards with experience in steel detailing. We won’t hold you back, those with a strong desire to increase their compensation, will have the opportunity to receive commissions on assigned sales leads. Additional compensation for sales opportunities is not capped and can range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars a month.
Daily drafting tasks include utilizing our block library and title blocks to comprise floor plans, ceiling plans, elevation views, section views, and typical assembly details, steel detailing, providing customers with installation instructions, as well as providing our production teams with fabrication details as needed. Daily sales tasks involve both phone and email communication with customers, discussing customer’s design preferences, determining which solution is best suited to each customer’s needs, and providing price quoting. Operations team members are expected to maintain positive communications and follow ups with the customers throughout the life of the project from start to finish.

Job Responsibilities:
- Designing and drafting detailed construction documents by using AutoCAD/SolidWorks, to create 2D models of proposed designs
- Assisting in the design of buildings, spaces, and objects
- Providing input and collaborating with designers
- Ensuring compliance of quality standards in AutoCAD drawings
- Redesigning drawings according to markups and specifications
- Translating and converting hand drawings and sketches into AutoCAD drawings
- Documenting and updating all drawings
- Meeting with engineers, draftsers, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings
- Inputting design specifications into the AutoCAD software
- Creating surface and solid AutoCAD models according to client specifications
- Working with a design team and individually on AutoCAD projects
- Consulting with clients and members of the design and construction teams to discuss specifications
- Proofing designs for potential errors
- Excellent phone communication
- Ability to work under little supervision and possess a strong work ethic

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
