Therap Specialist

Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) / Rainbow Center is a private, not-for-profit corporation founded in 1972. CDD provides residential care services and day habilitation to adults with developmental disabilities in the greater Kansas City, MO area.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Therap Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a comprehensive information management system for our Doorways and PALS U programs. Oversee the web-based comprehensive documentation and information management system to improve workflows, communication, compliance, organizational outcomes, and revenue management. the Therap Specialist works closely with various departments to ensure proper data collection and analysis using a dashboard-based reporting system.
Essential Functions

  • Set up features in Therap that would demonstrate service quality and assist in maintenance of Therap system
  • Monitor data input and ensure accuracy
  • Analyze data for trends and areas of improvement
  • Use Therap system to track and manage individual client progress
  • Use system to generate and submit necessary reports to regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with various departments so that the web-based system is fully utilized
  • Stay up to date on changes and updates to Therap system and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously evaluate and improve Therap system usage and processes.
  • Train staff on proper use of Therap system
  • Ensure data collection systems are clean of bad or incorrect information to ensure equate reports;
  • Assist in department development of KPIs and tracking of progress; making suggestions for improvement;
  • Provide trend analysis for health incidence per individuals and/or location;
  • Present data in a clear and concise manner either in writing and/or orally.
  • Provide data to stakeholder, including Board of Directors, Chief Program Officer, and program leadership;

  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and basic computer operations;

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. It also requires walking up and down stairs as needed.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Travel
Occasional travel throughout the metropolitan area as needed.
Required Education and Experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with Therap
  • Ability to develop tracking systems
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or Human Service-related field
  • Experience working with Department of Mental Health funded services
