Doggie Daycare Supervisor

The Dog Stop® Monroeville is looking for a Daycare Supervisor to join our team. Demonstrable experiencing working with dogs in a dog care facility is required for this position. Must be confident and comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.

This position requires weekday flexibility and the ability to work Saturdays and Sundays with availability to work holidays. This is a part time position with 7-9 hour shifts.

All applicants MUST be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Supervising daycare companions on shift to ensure all daily tasks are taken care of
• Knowledge of dog’s body language and play styles
• Performing temperament test for new daycare and boarding dogs
• Supervising groups of dogs who participate in daycare and immediately responding to any conflicts
• Assisting daycare companions on properly reading dogs to create and keep a safe and happy daycare environment
• Monitoring dogs for signs of stress and taking appropriate action
• Observing and reporting changes in a dog's behavior or health
• Completing kennel inspections to ensure they are cleaned properly for the next incoming boarding dog
• Checking feeding and medication logs to ensure they were completed accurately
• Reporting damaged equipment and items in need of service.
• Notifying managers of supplies that are running low
• Ensuring boarding and daycare delights are completed
• Helping with monthly daycare parties
• Clear communication with assistant and general manager(s)
• Assisting with daycare companion tasks as needed
