We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs and help them develop good behavior and obedience skills. Duties:
- Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs of all ages and breeds
- Assess dogs' behavior and develop personalized training plans
- Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel
- Address behavioral issues such as aggression, separation anxiety, or excessive barking
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
- Provide guidance and support to dog owners on training techniques and strategies
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's progress and training history
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dog Trainer or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of equine or pet care is a plus
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Experience with heavy lifting (e.g., moving equipment or assisting with larger dogs)
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is beneficial
- Understanding of basic veterinary care or experience as a veterinary technician is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with dog owners
