We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for providing training and behavior modification services to dogs of all breeds and sizes. Your expertise and knowledge will help our furry friends become well-behaved and obedient companions.
```Responsibilities```
- Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs
- Assess dog behavior and develop customized training plans
- Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, and come
- Address behavioral issues such as aggression, separation anxiety, and leash pulling
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
- Provide guidance and support to dog owners on training techniques and strategies
- Monitor the progress of each dog and adjust training methods as needed
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and client information
```Requirements```
- Proven experience in dog training or related field (e.g., pet sitting, animal handling)
- Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific behavioral traits
- Familiarity with positive reinforcement training methods
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both dogs and their owners
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, including those with behavioral issues
- Basic understanding of animal care, including feeding, grooming, and health needs
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking
- Certification or formal education in dog training is a plus
